Before I start talking about the Birchbox for May, I want to let you guys know that my twitter page is up. :) I am also very thankful for following me here! :) It means a lot to me.. ;)

• FINALS week starting tomorrow (to which i need to start studying..well i've been studying since last week but I need to dedicate this day for studying only) hehe BUT I need to share the Birchbox this May first..lol

Haul #4 Random Haul

Random Haul: Blush and Shoes ;)

Today, I went to Kohl's to take advantage of my $10 off coupon. I've been wanting to get my hands on the SimplyVera Illuminating Powder Blush. Actually, this time my bf was the one who chose the blush for me.. haha He said that this color (#314) would complement me the best. ♥ 

I like the packaging.. :) Just simple..

The blush is just a hint of pink. Nothing too dramatic. I guess that's the reason why my bf picked it. Again, simple color. ;)

 I apologize for this one.. >.< Blame it on the lighting.. -_- I hope you guys can see the hint of "pinkness" hehe.. I really love it. ♥

These heels remind me of the Zara Asymmetric Court Shoes. I was gonna get them last year, however, they're sold out!! I looked everywhere for something similar but no luck. :( Then, I was browsing through Shoedazzle last week and found it!! It's $39.95 and since it's my first purchase from them, I have a discount of 20%. So I paid $31.96 instead.. :) They have two other colors: Yellow and Fuchsia Heel height: 5"

They also gave me a sample of Tresseme SPLIT REMEDY. I believe it's a new product? Well it says new on the box but I don't know how long has it been out in the market. :)

As soon as I twisted the cap off, I was like OMG..It smells divine! ♥ Most likely, I will be purchasing this if my hair likes it. Hopefully, the smell will last longer on my hair. I've tried other shampoos/conditioners that only smell good after you shower then by the end of the day, your hair smells like something else..I couldn't even describe it but I don't like it..HAHA

Sunday Lunch

My bf was craving for some Grilled Vietnamese Spring Rolls today so we went to a restaurant called Nem Nuong Khanh Hoa in Garden Grove, CA.

We ordered the one where you have to roll it yourself. DIY roll hehe..

We also ordered this one but I forgot what it's called. :/ It's delicious though! ;)

 

Our friend originally took us here 4 years ago and after that we're hooked! :D Nothing really special today but for some reason it's kinda like our lazy day. -.- 

Afterwards, we went to Starbucks and got a Frappuccino Cookie Crumble (tall) to take advantage of their happy hour half price from 3pm-5pm. What a fatty Sunday! Haha.

 

Now we're home and I seriously need to finish my Financial Analysis Report and start studying for the finals next week! Eeeek!!

Haul #3 Korean Cosmetics/Skincare Haul

Hi my beautiful readers! :)

I was with my friend a couple of days ago and we went to Skin Food to browse around. Guess what? :) Of course, I didn't leave the store empty handed. ;) I've been wanting to try their products since I've been hearing a lot of good reviews regarding their skincare line. There were about 3 or 4 items that were sold out that time. Must be good right? I'm actually the one who got one of the last ones in the shelf.

 

The ones in little packages were gifts and samples when you spend $50 or more.

One of the reason why I got this one is because of the smell :P I love how the smell is so light but girly. :)

The above photo is a Tomato Whitening Emulsion. I don't know about if it will really whiten your skin but I want my skin to stay clear and not dull. My skin is dehydrated usually in the winter.

 So what is emulsion? 

It's basically a light moisturizer. :) I use it after applying serum or essence. I previously used the Laneige skincare line but my skin ended up not liking it.

Its consistency is lighter than your regular moisturizer.

Black Sugar Mask Wash off

There was only 1 left in the shelf when we went there. So, I gave in and took it. Hehehe

What it says:

Black sugar mask with rich minerals and vitamin to provide luster and smoothness to skin.

To use: After cleansing, gently massage over wet face. Avoid eye area. Rinse off.

I want to give this one a try. I was sold when it says that it will provide luster and smoothness to skin. Well, masks do that anyway..lol

Missha The Style Soft Crayon Lip Rouge

I got these from ebay. It arrived yesterday from South Korea. I loveeee the colors so I took 3 of the ones I like the best. I bought it for $14.38 each with free shipping plus samples.

The colors are sooo pretty!! 

 I didn't bother to show the rest since they're just samples anyway. :)

Soondubu jjigae (순두부 찌개)

Halloooo! :) I recently cooked soft tofu stew and my bf loves it! Thanks to Maangchi! I got the recipe from here. We both love soondubu jjigae that I was on a mission last week to look for the best possible recipe for it. Hehehe We usually go to Seongbukdong in L.A. or Cho Dang Tofu House in Cerritos. Finally, I can make my own! :)

순두부 찌개

It's great for cold days or if you just want to eat something spicy. ;) Instead of adding shiitake mushrooms, I substituted it with enoki mushrooms (bf is a die hard fan of enoki) lol.

 Sooo I was doing my grocery shopping at Zion Market and came across The Face Shop store inside the market. I've been wanting to try out their products and finally bought some! :)
