Hello Kitty Palettes

I've been wanting to share this with you guys since summer but never really got a chance to. With all the moving and busy schedule, I neglected to share this one with you guys. I actually ordered these at Sephora.com the night before I left for Canada for a trip this past summer. So, it arrived when I was on vacation. It was a real steal because they were on sale for a very reasonable price. I bought the Hello Kitty Shimmering Powder and Make up Palette (left) for $11 and the Parisenne Palette (right) for $13. They normally go for about $36 each. I also got some Hello Kitty Blotting Papers for $3. I couldn't resist how cute they are! LOL

I forgot to do some swatches with these again but I will provide them on my next post soon. ;)

Hello Kitty Shimmering Powder and Eyeshadow Palette
Don't you guys think the packaging is soooo cute?! For all the Hello Kitty enthusiasts out there, I'm sure you would love this one.
Shimmering Powder
When you open the case, the shimmering powder sits on top of the eyeshadow palette, just flip it over and you will see the make up palette. :)

A close up look -Shimmering powder
This highlighter looks gorgeous! They sure know how to attract customers like me. Hehe ;) I've never actually tried using this specific highlighter but I will soon! :D

I loveeee the color combination of this one. Of course nothing special since you can most likely get dupes, but i just think it's still awesome haha. I will talk about the pigmentation once I'm done swatching these. :)

close up look
Too bad the eyeshadows doesn't come with unique names like what Urban Decay and other make up palettes have.

Hello Kitty Parisienne Eyeshadow and Blush Palette
The reason why I picked this one because of the theme: Paris. I love everything about Paris. So this is a must have for me, especially combined with Hello Kitty.. Gotta get it! :D

Gorgeous colors as well, however, I don't know if I can pull it off (colors on the left). Haha Maybe I can use it subtly? We'll see.. I've never got a chance to play around with the colors yet.
Blush
This blush has a very nice shade of pink. I've used this for about 3-4 times already and I've gotten compliments on what blush I'm wearing. There is a dupe for this one but I couldn't really point a finger to it. Maybe I will try and look for another dupe of this and provide it to you guys on my next post. :)

Hello Kitty Blotting paper
This blotting paper comes with 100 sheets and I haven't used a single one yet. Haha I don't want to run out! LOL

Well, that's all for now. :) Again, I will provide the swatches on my next post.

Did you guys get a chance to get one of these palettes when it was on SALE?

DIY: How to Fix a Cracked Blush/Eyeshadow

Hi my gorgeous readers! ♥
Another hot day in Southern California... I'm melting away! Haha

Before I go ahead with my post, (hopefully you guys are excited) I would like to share my little rant for today. I've been missing quite a number of magazines lately in the mail (6 magazines). I'm missing a couple of subs from Vogue, Teen Vogue and Allure - 2 months each. To find out that our mailman has been putting them in the wrong mailbox or address I should say. Two days ago, my neighbor knocked on my door and gave me the magazine for the September issue. Who knows what happened to July and August subs. I let that go and was thinking maybe the guy is having a hard day and I'll let this one slip. Today, however, my other neighbor came by to give my letter which contains confidential information. I wasn't too happy about that--I was furious. I checked if the address was right (which it was) so I went and called USPS to complain. Later on today, the supervisor called me back and I explained what was going on. I really don't care about the magazines being delivered at the wrong address but who knows what more important mails have I been missing and even confidential information which I could be a victim of identity theft. I was appalled and irritated, who wouldn't be right? The solution that they gave me was that she will have a word with the mailman who delivers in our block. Rude guy by the way. Pfft!

What cheered me up was when I opened my mailbox and there it was --- my E.l.f. cosmetics order. :)

Opened it and one of the blushes where broken into little fragments.

E.l.f. Studio Blush in Peachy Keen

Don't fret! Luckily, I learned this one trick from RealSimple.com.  I would like to share this very simple way to fix this. ;)

What you need:
~Alcohol
~Plastic (Saran) Wrap or butter knife(not shown)

Step 1: Add a few drops of alcohol onto your cracked blush or eyeshadow. *If you have a dropper, then even more perfect. But if you don't, you can simply put some in the cap of the alcohol so you can regulate how much to put. Add a few drops more when needed.

Step 2: Wrap the plastic (saran) wrap on your finger. (Doesn't matter which finger. Whatever is comfortable for you.) ;)

Step 3: Use your finger with the plastic wrap on or butter knife to smooth the blush or eyeshadow back into its shape. (No picture shown)

Then, Voila! ♥

Took me less than 5 minutes!

I hope you guys enjoyed my second DIY post for you guys. ;) ♥♥♥

Haul #4 Random Haul

Random Haul: Blush and Shoes ;)

Today, I went to Kohl's to take advantage of my $10 off coupon. I've been wanting to get my hands on the SimplyVera Illuminating Powder Blush. Actually, this time my bf was the one who chose the blush for me.. haha He said that this color (#314) would complement me the best. ♥
I like the packaging.. :) Just simple..

The blush is just a hint of pink. Nothing too dramatic. I guess that's the reason why my bf picked it. Again, simple color. ;)
I apologize for this one.. >.< Blame it on the lighting.. -_- I hope you guys can see the hint of "pinkness" hehe.. I really love it. ♥

There are five other colors to choose from. Click here
The blush is $19.50 plus tax and since I have the $10 off coupon, I only paid $9.50 plus tax. ;)

Now, moving on to the next one: SHOES

 SHOEDAZZLE :)

Elizabeth
These heels remind me of the Zara Asymmetric Court Shoes. I was gonna get them last year, however, they're sold out!! I looked everywhere for something similar but no luck. :( Then, I was browsing through Shoedazzle last week and found it!! It's $39.95 and since it's my first purchase from them, I have a discount of 20%. So I paid $31.96 instead.. :) They have two other colors: Yellow and Fuchsia Heel height: 5"

You guys have to be a member in order to purchase from Shoedazzle. But it's FREE to sign up anyway. If you're interested here's the link: http://www.shoedazzle.com/

They also gave me a sample of Tresseme SPLIT REMEDY. I believe it's a new product? Well it says new on the box but I don't know how long has it been out in the market. :)

What it says on the box:
Repairs up to 80% of split ends in just three uses for a fresh-cut look and feel everyday*

*With regular use of shampoo and conditioner or other products in the Split Remedy line.

As soon as I twisted the cap off, I was like OMG..It smells divine! ♥ Most likely, I will be purchasing this if my hair likes it. I will try it first tonight! :D After, I finish the bottle, I will decide. ;) Also, the box comes with a manufacturer's coupon: SAVE $1 on any ONE Tresseme Split Remedy Product
Hopefully, the smell will last longer on my hair. I've tried other shampoos/conditioners that only smell good after you shower then by the end of the day, your hair smells like something else..I couldn't even describe it but I don't like it..HAHA

What's your favorite shampoo/conditioner?  ♥
Have you guys tried the SimplyVera cosmetics line? ♥
What's your favorite heels? :)  ♥
