REVIEW: Garnier Fructis Fortifying Conditioner Pure Clean

First of all, I would like to apologize for not replying back for the comments that some of you have left from my previous post. I've been juggling a lot of things this week with school, the online store, shipments, etc. I would definitely get back at you guys by the weekend. :) Oh and plus it's my friend's daughter's bday this weekend (actually it's my goddaughter's bday) :D I'm still pretty happy that she picked me as her daughter's godmother ;). Yes, I've been busy looking for gifts as well.

Since I have this tiny bit of free time, I would like to give a brief review of the Garnier Fructis Fortifying Conditioner PURE CLEAN.

I stopped using this conditioner. PERIOD. Okay, the conditioner smells gorgeous and all. It also says that it has a unique 92% biodegradable formula, no heavy residue and weightless shine. It did deliver on what it says (no heavy residue and weightless shine) and also it left a great smell on my hair right after I shower.

 BUT
After a few hours, my hair smells nasty! LOL It smells like rotten eggs! My bf even noticed how my hair smelled like. He said "Hmm..your hair smells like you've been fishing on the pier for hours" -__- Gosh! Even though we've been together for 8 years, I was soooo embarrassed when he told me that. Bottom line is, my hair smells like rotten eggs and fish. -_- I wasn't too pleased at all. I thought maybe it's because I went out that day but I tried and showered at night and used the same conditioner and again it smells like the pier the next morning I woke up! XD

I don't know what kind of formula they put that made my hair smell like this. I am never going to purchase this conditioner again. I went back to my old one.

Rating: 4 dumplings

I am not sure if I should recommend this product to you guys. I don't know if it's just my hair or something else. If you are still intrigued by it, I suggest to purchase the smallest size to see if it will work for you. I really wish it didn't leave my hair smelling like this because I like the other Garnier Fructis line and I'm pretty bummed out that this one didn't work for me. :/

Have you tried this line of shampoo/conditioner before? :)

Haul #8: Urban Decay Sale & Announcement

Urban Decay is having a SALE right now (some items). I picked some in their main website last week and picked up one palette at Nordstrom Rack a couple of days ago. Before I go ahead and show you the items and swatches, I would like to make a big announcement (well for me it's quite big) hehe.. :)
By the end of September, I am opening an online store where you can buy accessories/jewelries picked by me. :D I have already ordered some from a manufacturer that I chose and hopefully you guys would check it out as soon as it opens. I will let you guys know the exact date for its grand opening in the next few weeks. I am also going to sell limited edition make-up items from time to time. This is a huge step for me and I really hope you guys would like the items that I picked. ♥ I've been thinking about this since a year ago but I was waiting for myself to graduate first. However, I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to make it happen now. :)

Let's move on to the items that I bought:

Urban Decay Vegan Eyeshadow Palette (limited edition) (Reg. $34) SALE: $13
It comes with a small Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
It also comes with the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
Left to Right: Half Baked, Smog, Twice Baked, Gunmetal, URB, Minx and the 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero
I love the colors on this palette! I'm usually a little hesitant on buying eyeshadows online since I'm not sure if I really like the colors or not. Good thing I bought this one! :)

What it says:
Celebrate cruelty-free beauty! This limited edition palette boasts our best-selling vegan eyeshadows and more, in honor of PETA's 30th anniversary.

Backside of the Vegan Palette. Do you see the cute bunny? ♥
Urban Decay Midnight Emergency Kit (Reg. $39) SALE - $21.97
I bought this palette from Nordstrom Rack. I was happy that I didn't get it online since it's 3 cents cheaper from Nordstrom. Haha Yea I know, 3 cents is not that big of a difference but it's still something hehe...

It also comes with an eyeshadow brush and a lip plumper.
Left to Right: AC/DC, Midnight 15, Midnight Rodeo, Midnight Cowboy
Again, I'm loving the colors on this one too. Perfect for day and night! :)

What it says:
Saddle up with Midnight Emergency for on-the-fly sexiness. This lifesaving kit contains 4 luminous eyeshadows, a travel-sized shadow brush and a full-sized Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Midnight Cowboy. Throw it in your purse for an instant glow- day or night.

Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow in Perversion (left) and Secret Service (right) (Reg. $17 each) SALE: $9 each
Left to Right: Secret Service (medium brown), Perversion (jet black)
Urban Decay Liplove Honey Infused Lip Therapy in Taunt (Reg.12) Also, bought it for $12 (not on sale)
I didn't quite understand why I took a picture of the primer too??? O_O LOL

What it says:
It's true love... Our honey-infused lip therapy feels cushiony, shines like crazy and mositurizes lips with essential fatty acids, moisturizers and antioxidants. This stuff is way too serious to feel soooooo good. With its hint of tint and luscious honey scent, you'll want to keep one in your bag, one at your desk, and one at your lov-ah's.

I didn't do a swatch for this one since it wouldn't show as much. It looks natural on my lips which I love. But for the honey scent that they're talking about? I couldn't really smell it haha.

Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara (Black) (Reg. 20) - SALE: $5
What it says:
It's big, it's fat, it should be illegal. Infused with hemp oil, this mascara is a trip, taking lashes to a new realm where fantasy and reality collide. The big, fuzzy brush makes lashes look so full, so dreamy...so surreal! The creamy formula thickens, lengthens and glosses lashes. Just one use, and you're addicted.

Out of all the mascaras I own, this is probably the fuzziest wand I've ever seen! Haha I haven't tried it yet but hopefully it does what it says! :)

Urban Decay Lipstick in Peroxide (Reg. $22) SALE: $8
What it says:
Decadently creamy, long-lasting color and a sweet lick of creme caramel. Armored by a menacing dagger, our Lipstick is a weapon of love.

My only concern about this one is on how you open the lipstick. You actually have to pull the dagger and it'll pop open. I was thinking what if the dagger breaks?? I'm gonna have to break the whole case in order for me to open the lipstick. Tsk tsk..
Loving the dagger that's printed on the liptick. :) ♥
I looooveeee the color of this! Soft pink that would look great for everyday use! :)

That's all for now.. :D ♥
Have a great weekend!  ♥

Haul #7: Back to School Shopping! *PIC HEAVY*

I'm counting my days..School is just around the corner. I start at my university on Monday but quite sad that it's gonna be my bf's last semester. Of course I am happy that he is graduating this fall but I'm sad that I'll be left there. :/ Oh well... I will be graduating next fall anyway. :) I should say we're long overdue. We should've graduated 4 years ago! Well at least I'm almost there! :D

Over the weekend, I did some shopping for the Fall semester. I've been lusting over the Longchamp Planetes Tonal Tote in black for awhile now. Thinking about it, the purse is quite useful for my university books, laptop, etc. Also, I can use it for work too in the future. It looks elegant and chic. Great for traveling as well. ;)

Longchamp Planetes Tonal Tote in black
I'm soooo excited to use the bag!! :) Out of all the Longchamp totes, this is by far my favorite one.

Next, I stopped by Victoria's Secret to look for the VS Bombshell Summer Edition. I have this body mist before and now it's sold out everywhere and I finally got my hands on it. ;) I also bought the regular VS Bombshell, London Fragrance Lotion and Love is Heavenly. Love all the smell! I'm thinking of going back to VS to get more of the Bombshell Summer Edition. I need to stock up before they're gone! :D
Left to Right: Victoria's Secret London ($20), love is heavenly ($10), Bombshell Summer Edition($25) & VS Bombshell ($25)
And.....

How can I say no to the new Marc Jacobs Dot Perfume??? It smells GORGEOUS!!!
DOT by Marc Jacobs in 100ml (3.4 fl oz)

The bottle is soooo cute!!! ♥
Next, let's move on to accessories..Forever21 carries the most cutest accessories ever. :) Although I don't shop there anymore for clothes, I kept going back because of their accessories. :)
I'm telling you guys now that I love hearts and bows. ♥ They're pretty! :)

Bow rings from F21
I bought two different colors :) ♥
I have to buy two of these earrings by the way. They don't sell it in pairs because I think that's the trend right now where you only have to put one on your ear. I bought two so I can wear them in both sides haha.
Again with the hearts and bows.. :D ♥
I bought these because they look quite elegant. :) The far left one are clip on earrings. :)
Heart hair pin. :) Isn't it cute? ♥
Black & Gold necklace
I love this chain necklace. I already have one top in mind where this can be a perfect match with. :) Long-sleeved polo shirt? What do u think? :)

For this one, when I was browsing online, I didn't know that the bottle will be quite big. I thought it's going to be tiny! haha It's still cute though. However, you can't really open the bottle. It's just for decoration. No use of it but just a charm on your necklace. :D

I bought my last piece of item literally yesterday which I know I have to stop because my bf is giving me the you're-spending-way-too-much-again look. :) LOL

Michael Kors Chronograph Watch
I'm picky when it comes to watches but I got my eyes fixed on this one the moment I seen it in the store. The saleslady told me that it's part of the new collection this Fall. I've seen the Silver Color Stainless Steel Camille one online which I will buy it too. :) I like it that it's in roman numerals instead of the regular numbers.

I bought some clothes too and shoes but maybe I should put that in a separate post later since this one is getting a bit long! :D

Have you guys done any shopping lately? Care to share? :) ♥

Birchbox & myglam: August 2012

Last month, I skipped a post on what I received for myglam and Birchbox. It was too hectic that the only one I posted up was for Glossybox :0

What's in the Birchbox this month of August?

~ Beauty Fixation | Nail Polish Touch-Up
These swabs are actually pre-filled with a non-acetone nail polish remover/corrector. Pretty neat for precise corrections. :) I guess I will be using this the next time I paint my nails :D

~ DDF | Brightening Cleanser
This cleanser has a light scent which I like. The only thing that kinda disappointed me was it didn't have an ingredients list. So, I really hope this one wouldn't break me out like the Purpose Cleanser. :/ Gotta do more research about this product!

~Juicy Couture | Viva la Juicy La Fleur
I am in love with this scent! I've been flippin' through a lot of magazines and I can't help but smell this on those magazine flaps provided for a sample scent.

~ Whish | Three Wishes Body Butter
It says that it's a pomegranate scent and has antioxidants. Hmmm sounds good to me! :)

~Schick Hydro Silk razor
I am soo happy that I got this! I was planning to buy this tomorrow and I guess I don't have to. ;)

What's in the myglam pouch?

~ eclos plant-based beauty Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream

~eclos plant-based beauty Cellular Activator Facial Serum

~Demeter Fragrance Library Roll on Perfume Oil in Dragon Fruit
This one smells sweet and the smell dies down after 2 hours.

~ s.a.l.t.y. Cosmetics Glama-ZOID Eye shadow

~ CIRCUS by Andrea's Choice Spectacle Nail Color
This nail polish is a bright orange color! I guess it will really add a pop of color when you wear it haha!

~myglam Glam Gloss

Overall, I'm happy with the products I received this month! :)

DIY: How to Fix a Cracked Blush/Eyeshadow

Hi my gorgeous readers! ♥
Another hot day in Southern California... I'm melting away! Haha

Before I go ahead with my post, (hopefully you guys are excited) I would like to share my little rant for today. I've been missing quite a number of magazines lately in the mail (6 magazines). I'm missing a couple of subs from Vogue, Teen Vogue and Allure - 2 months each. To find out that our mailman has been putting them in the wrong mailbox or address I should say. Two days ago, my neighbor knocked on my door and gave me the magazine for the September issue. Who knows what happened to July and August subs. I let that go and was thinking maybe the guy is having a hard day and I'll let this one slip. Today, however, my other neighbor came by to give my letter which contains confidential information. I wasn't too happy about that--I was furious. I checked if the address was right (which it was) so I went and called USPS to complain. Later on today, the supervisor called me back and I explained what was going on. I really don't care about the magazines being delivered at the wrong address but who knows what more important mails have I been missing and even confidential information which I could be a victim of identity theft. I was appalled and irritated, who wouldn't be right? The solution that they gave me was that she will have a word with the mailman who delivers in our block. Rude guy by the way. Pfft!

What cheered me up was when I opened my mailbox and there it was --- my E.l.f. cosmetics order. :)

Opened it and one of the blushes where broken into little fragments.

E.l.f. Studio Blush in Peachy Keen

Don't fret! Luckily, I learned this one trick from RealSimple.com.  I would like to share this very simple way to fix this. ;)

What you need:
~Alcohol
~Plastic (Saran) Wrap or butter knife(not shown)

Step 1: Add a few drops of alcohol onto your cracked blush or eyeshadow. *If you have a dropper, then even more perfect. But if you don't, you can simply put some in the cap of the alcohol so you can regulate how much to put. Add a few drops more when needed.

Step 2: Wrap the plastic (saran) wrap on your finger. (Doesn't matter which finger. Whatever is comfortable for you.) ;)

Step 3: Use your finger with the plastic wrap on or butter knife to smooth the blush or eyeshadow back into its shape. (No picture shown)

Then, Voila! ♥

Took me less than 5 minutes!

I hope you guys enjoyed my second DIY post for you guys. ;) ♥♥♥

Tell us how the idea of making a blog popped up and what makes you continue it?
I love sharing different things with others. May it be beauty/fashion advice or even cooking! ;) I was inspired by other bloggers who share the same interest as I do.

Describe a usual day in your life.
Since it's summer, a typical day would be to wake up, cook breakfast, clean and sometimes go out with friends. When I'm home, I usually watch the Supernatural series on Netflix (quite addicting). ;) I used to work part-time but now I need to focus more on school and start looking for internships regarding my major.

The best collaboration with a blogger.
Haven't done any but I'm looking forward to one. :D

Describe what having a blog means to you.
Having a blog for me means to share the same interests with others. I love discovering other blogs and read about their interests as well. Pretty exciting actually. It never gets boring! Haha

 I've nominated:

all the pretty things

Please check the blogs that I've mentioned.

REVLON Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain swatches

It's been really hot lately here in CA. Last time I checked it was 93 F.. Oh my I was melting! To be honest, summer is my least favorite season. My fave is definitely fall > spring > winter >summer. At least during the cold months, you can just bundle up and drink a cup of hot tea/coffee and you're all set. Summer? Even though you showered for like the 100th time, you would still come out to be sweating! YUCK!
Anyway, today I am providing some swatches for the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. These are the colors that I love out of all the colors that are available.
I am a big fan of the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters and now the Balm Stains are rockin' my world. ;) Smells minty too! :D
Top to Bottom: Smitten, Rendezvous, Charm, Honey, Romantic, Sweetheart
Left to Right: Sweetheart, Romantic, Honey, Charm, Rendezvous, Smitten
The above pic shows that Sweetheart and Smitten looks identical. Well, the Smitten one is a tad darker than Sweetheart. :)

I am in love with the colors! I picked up a couple of them from walmart and bought the rest from cvs online since I have a coupon from them. I also noticed that the Rendezvous one is quite popular. They were always sold out! I actually picked up the last one at walmart. :D

What is your favorite Revlon Balm Stain? ♥

Mini House Tour *Pic Heavy*

Hi my gorgeous readers! As promised, I'm giving you guys a quick glimpse to the new place. Nothing too fancy but this is what I call home. ;) ♥

Living Room - as usual peanut is there again hehe
Bedroom

Bedroom shots were taken yesterday about noon time. Most of the furniture were bought from IKEA including the bedsheets (duvet, pillows, etc) Not the lamb though hahaha.

My books - currently reading Fifty Shades of Grey ;)

I am thinking of actually buying a computer desk but I love space so I just put the computer on top of the chest of drawers. Not too tacky right? Well, it works for me.. ;) Far left is my vanity table --or i should say "converted" vanity table. :) Got all from IKEA!

Yes, I do have all the EOS lip balms :D

A little sneak peek on what's in the main drawer of my vanity drawer. ;)
I will be doing a future post about how I organize my make up. :)

I hope you guys enjoyed this mini house tour post. ♥
