Collective Haul ♥

Well, well, well... I've been MIA for days here. Now, I'm back! ;)
Just a recap about what happened after making my DIY Lipstick Organizer: One, I've been cleaning the apartment like crazyyyy. Two, my bf actually sat me down and talked about my shopping addiction which wasn't pleasant for me by the way. Well, at least he was calm about everything but I went berserk though. lol Intervention! I understand how I should start saving money. Tsk tsk tsk. Tough! -_-
I haven't been spending much lately but just the necessary items like groceries and some household necessities. I was sad for about a couple of weeks of not buying anything but it actually feels good afterwards now that I have extra $$$ for the rainy day. ;)
As a reward, he bought some items from my wishlist. I'm so ecstatic! :D

Korean Skull and Rhinestone Embellished Four-Row Ring Clutch Bag, Cotton Pad Organizer, bracelet
You guys can get the same clutch here
In my opinion, it's pretty cheap. I love this clutch soo much! Very Alexander Mcqueen-esque clutch and especially the price. Can't beat that!
It also comes with a chain so you can either hold it or sling it on your shoulder. I prefer just carrying it. ;)

I am in love with this cotton pad holder! The design is so much like Anna Sui.
It goes well with my Anna Sui Face Powder. :D
He bought me this bracelet from this store called Image in Alhambra. It's sooo nice and goes well with pretty much anything I wear.
Also, he got me the Ann Taylor blouse that I've been wanting to get my hands on! It's soo soft and the quality is great. Not good for summer though since the material is pretty thick. I think this is great for Fall or maybe some nights that I consider chilly. You can buy this at the Ann Taylor website here Now, they have a special going on: Buy one full price item, get the second 50%.

I love everything he bought me. ^_^ Well, it's in my wishlist but I'm very thankful that he actually bought it for me.

Now, more likely tomorrow, I would be posting some pics of my hard work cleaning the apartment and show you guys how I designed our place. :)

That's it for now! ♥

DIY: Lipstick Organizer

Today, I would like to share how I made my lipstick organizer. Thanks to Enkore Makeup! :) I watched the youtube tutorial and finally decided to make my own. I changed some of the materials needed and ignored some steps. Enkore's version was to use a carton from cereal boxes and/or soda. In my version, I used a box that I used for moving which I bought from Home Depot. I believe that using box flaps are more sturdier. :) I also changed the measurements based on my needs. My lipsticks weren't that organized prior to making this brilliant idea. ;) I have an Helmer Drawer from Ikea and let me tell you guys, this is by far the best make up organizer I've ever had! I also bought the Antonius Basket Inserts  (it's supposed to be for the Antonius Wire Basket) for the rest of my Helmer Drawers. I loveeeee it!!

Now, let's proceed to this project:

Let's start shall we?
(By the way, this took me 6 hours to make so be prepared, unless I'm just really really slow) LOL!

Materials Needed:
- Box : Cut the flaps in long and short pieces
- 8 long pieces (15.4X 2.3 inches)
- 15 short pieces (9X 2.3 inches)
(the measurements shown above is for an Helmer Drawer, feel free to change the measurements according to your space or drawer size)
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Pen/Sharpie

 Step 1:
-Make squares that are 1 inch apart for both long and short pieces.
- From the edge of the piece, measure 1 inch and draw a straight line.
- Cut the squares to the point where you've drawn the line. Tip: make the slits wider than the one shown below. It will be easier for you to assemble it later. Trust me.

*Picture shown below is a short piece*
 Step 2:
- Draw triangles in between the lines (top and bottom for long and short pieces)
*You can skip this step if you do not want your pieces to look like a picket fence*

Step 3:
- Cut the triangles in between.

Now, you have pieces that looks like a picket fence. :)

Step 4:
- Insert them into their slots.

Voila!

It actually feels good to do this by myself. I was gonna ask my bf to do it for me but decided not to. Hehe

Have fun making your own lipstick organizer! :) Hope this post helped a lot! :D

What's In My Bag?

I am completely moved in to the new apartment. Only a few things here and there to be taken care of. My books are still laying around the living room and finally found a bedframe from IKEA and a mattress from a mattress store after several days of looking for the perfect one. I will soon give a house tour when everything is settled. :D

Now, what's in my bag/purse?

I use my Michael Kors Hamilton Large Tote a lot :)

- Ipad 2
-Samsung Galaxy S2
-Burberry Sunglasses
-Make up bag
- Tempo
- EOS lip balm (purple)
- Hand cream
- Hand Sanitizer
- Lipstick (current one I'm wearing is Chanel 05 Mademoiselle)
- Keys
- Journal/Pen (scribble things :) )
- Wallet
- Evian Facial spray (not on picture)

I usually bring my camera with me too (point and shoot canon) but sometimes I bring my dslr with me. Now, I'm currently eye-ing on a Lumix GF3 point and shoot. Maybe a gift for myself for Christmas? :P I also do bring a toothbrush/toothpaste from time to time just in case. ;)

I carry a bunch of items with me to which sometimes I complain because it's quite heavy. Haha

What about you? What's in your bag? :)

Glossybox USA: June 2012

Hey everyone! This is going to be a really quick post. :) I recently tweeted that I'm in the process of moving to a different place. I got the Glossybox since Tuesday but since I am moving things around, I didn't get to post this. I am almost done moving and have only a few things left in the current apartment. :D

What's inside the box:

1. BeautyAddicts Show-Off Mascara $20 full size
2. First Aid Beauty Smooth Shave Cream $16.50 full size
3. Kinerase Restructure Firming Cream $98.00 full size
4. Shea Terra Organics $18.00 full size
5. Wella Professionals Enrich Moisturizing Treatment $12.00 full size

Treat: Urban Organic from A Perfume Organic sample size fragrance $65 full size

Lots of goodies again in the June 2012 box!

PS: I noticed a lot of girls get confused about Glossybox in terms of what month the box is. Apparently, Glossybox USA ships the boxes at the end of each month so we get them the next month. For example, this month's Glossbybox was shipped last week(end of June) so of course we would think that it would be the July box but no. It's the June box. It sucks how we get the boxes late though. :/
