Soondubu jjigae (순두부 찌개)

Halloooo! :) I recently cooked soft tofu stew and my bf loves it! Thanks to Maangchi! I got the recipe from here. We both love soondubu jjigae that I was on a mission last week to look for the best possible recipe for it. Hehehe We usually go to Seongbukdong in L.A. or Cho Dang Tofu House in Cerritos. Finally, I can make my own! :)

It's great for cold days or if you just want to eat something spicy. ;) Instead of adding shiitake mushrooms, I substituted it with enoki mushrooms (bf is a die hard fan of enoki) lol.

Let me know if you guys have tried it.

  3. Oh my, looks delicious! I wonder if I can substitute tofu for something else? (not a fan of tofu)

    1. Definitely you can! :) Just omit the stuff you don't want..But the stock is the essence of this soup. Also,if you don't like anchovies, make the broth with clams instead.. :P I might show a step by step on how to cook this next time..hehe
