DIY: How to Fix a Cracked Blush/Eyeshadow

Hi my gorgeous readers! ♥
Another hot day in Southern California... I'm melting away! Haha

Before I go ahead with my post, (hopefully you guys are excited) I would like to share my little rant for today. I've been missing quite a number of magazines lately in the mail (6 magazines). I'm missing a couple of subs from Vogue, Teen Vogue and Allure - 2 months each. To find out that our mailman has been putting them in the wrong mailbox or address I should say. Two days ago, my neighbor knocked on my door and gave me the magazine for the September issue. Who knows what happened to July and August subs. I let that go and was thinking maybe the guy is having a hard day and I'll let this one slip. Today, however, my other neighbor came by to give my letter which contains confidential information. I wasn't too happy about that--I was furious. I checked if the address was right (which it was) so I went and called USPS to complain. Later on today, the supervisor called me back and I explained what was going on. I really don't care about the magazines being delivered at the wrong address but who knows what more important mails have I been missing and even confidential information which I could be a victim of identity theft. I was appalled and irritated, who wouldn't be right? The solution that they gave me was that she will have a word with the mailman who delivers in our block. Rude guy by the way. Pfft!

What cheered me up was when I opened my mailbox and there it was --- my E.l.f. cosmetics order. :)

Opened it and one of the blushes where broken into little fragments.

E.l.f. Studio Blush in Peachy Keen

Don't fret! Luckily, I learned this one trick from RealSimple.com.  I would like to share this very simple way to fix this. ;)

What you need:
~Alcohol
~Plastic (Saran) Wrap or butter knife(not shown)

Step 1: Add a few drops of alcohol onto your cracked blush or eyeshadow. *If you have a dropper, then even more perfect. But if you don't, you can simply put some in the cap of the alcohol so you can regulate how much to put. Add a few drops more when needed.

Step 2: Wrap the plastic (saran) wrap on your finger. (Doesn't matter which finger. Whatever is comfortable for you.) ;)

Step 3: Use your finger with the plastic wrap on or butter knife to smooth the blush or eyeshadow back into its shape. (No picture shown)

Then, Voila! ♥

Took me less than 5 minutes!

I hope you guys enjoyed my second DIY post for you guys. ;) ♥♥♥

  1. That is horrible about your mail; the same thing happens to me also, and at my office. I happen to have a very rude mail lady as well =/ Hopefully your mail issues get resolved.

Love your DIY tip though. I've tried it before and it works like a charm.

    Have a wonderful day!
